ROUSSILLON FRANCE
2013 Artesy Hemera Syrah is named after the Greek Goddess of daytime. Hemera is a single vineyard wine grown and produced in Roussillon France at Domaine Trois Orris. Domaine Trois Orris is located in the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains at
an elevation of 650 meters near the tiny village of Tarerach. It has a south/east exposure. The soil type is a mixture of Granit and Feldspath. The vineyard was planted in 1990. 2012 Hemera was produced at the Domaine Trois Orris winery. The
grapes were de-stemmed and whole berries were dropped into a stainless fermentation tank. The fermentation featured a natural indigenous fermentation with daily gentle manual punchdowns. 2013 Hemera was aged for 18 months in
neutral French oak barrels from Saury and Sylvain. 2012 Artesy Hemera carries the appellation of the vineyard and of Domaine Trois Orris which is Roussillon France.
